I got to thinking about another very unusual design in Paris, the Pompidou Center which was built in the seventies. It was considered by many to be the most ridiculous building ever constructed but it was so unique it's been very successful and draws many visitors. I've been there one time and found it to be very interesting. This new building could have a similar experience, beginning with ridicule and disgust and finally after a few years it's accepted and becomes very popular. Only time will tell.
