Canadiens sign Pacioretty to two-year deal

Max Pacioretty signed a two-year, $3.25 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday.
Last season, Pacioretty scored 14 goals and added 10 assists for 24 points in 37 games.
He started the season with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League before being called up for good in December.
His season came to an abrupt end in March when a hit by Zdeno Chara caused him to suffer a fractured vertabrae in his neck.
Pacioretty was slated to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
