Yeah, it's balanced with the Hancock. Changing the color would be like taking the spire off of the Empire State. I changes the look and feel of the tower. If the Sears weren't such a dominant tower (a tower of 40 or 50 stories that just blended in with others) I'd say it wouldn't matter as much.
