Celebration time for M-Squared

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 50,000-sq ft centre of the MSquared Software and Services was inaugurated on Technopark campus here on Sunday.

The opening of the Indian corporate head office of the company on two acres of land coincided with its 10th anniversary celebrations.

The company, which has its headquarters at Las Vegas in USA, was registered in 1996.

The building was inaugurated by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Law, Sports and Youth Affairs M Vijayakumar.

The 10th anniversary celebrations were inaugurated by Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy. Others who attended the day痴 functions included MLAs M A Vahid and Raju Abraham, IT Secretary K R Jyothilal, SBT general manager R G Gadkari, STPI-Trivandrum irector Ramesh Kumar and CEO of Technopark N Radhakrishnan.

The areas of operation of the company include software development in different industries like healthcare, ITES, access control and security systems and retail management and consumer electronics.

The products developed by M2 Infotek, its sister concern and an SSI unit, include GateGard (to control the operations of a gate using a hand-held remote control), ScanGard (available with fingerprint and barcode scanners) and HomeGard (complete security system for houses).
