Not much of an announcement i must say. As for Ravman i ask him what is the NDP's immediate action plan according to skytrain/LRT expansions? All i have heard is the NDP complain about the Liberal's plans, but they have not shown us their fool proof alternatives. We must remember that first on the chopping block is the Evergreen Line. This study is probably overkill but needed in order to keep these two extensions momentum alive during Evergreens construction. As far as i am concerned the UBC extension must be skytrain, no doubt in my mind. The Surrey extensions i am not so sure, but then i do think to myself that this provinces problem for decades has always been that they build infrastructure 20 to 30 years after it is needed. Maybe if they are to build the Surrey extensions as skytrain this will be better for the long run, since that area is planned to have major population and density increases. If built as skytrain this could be the first time the Province plans decades ahead.
