I entirely support this. There would be a drop in play for these three clubs, but a proper national league system with promotion/relegation is critical.

For the game to thrive in Canada, I firmly believe this must happen.
  • CPL: 10-14 team professional Tier 1 league. Includes TFC, Impact, Whitecaps, Fury, Edmonton along with Hamilton, Winnipeg, Halifax and any other new teams created with the inception of the CPL to begin.
  • Canadian Soccer Association: 10-team Tier 2 league. Should be pro.
  • League 3 12-16 teams. Possibly amateur.

This type of setup is what gets us things like larger youth involvement or increased CONCACAF Champions League Berths.
