^^ The base was designed to minimize the impact of shadows on the near by Rainier Club and First United Methodist Church. It will have a "living" wall on the Columbia street side which I'm guessing would be a wall full of ivy and such to filter out excessive water when we get one of those Northwestern rainy days.
