It's probably because it is so close to the airport they can build so high. It's out of the direct runway path but close enough to it that would ensure as tower could either be as tall as as humanly possible or limited due to the glideslope of the runway....

OR check out San Paulo in Brazil. Its domestic airport is completely surrounded by high rises and pilot fly down a narrow corridor where they are below the height of the surrounding buildings. look at google maps to get the real feel... Insane if you ask me
