The 24 story Skyhouse is in downtown along the light rail line. It's currently under construction. Finger's 7 story residential is going up right across the street from Minute Maid Park. Late this year, a 5 story apartment will take up a full city block directly across the street from Skyhouse.

When was the last time three large residential projects were rising in downtown at the same time? Certainly not in my lifetime (was born in the 70s)
