Continuing this off topic discussion, I've always thought that the Federal Building site north of City Hall would be a great place for a signature super tall tower. It covers an entire block (rare opportunity) allowing for more flexibility in shape, etc than a typical NYC tower that is usually jammed amongst other buildings. It is a bit removed from the cluster of downtown skyline, providing a counter balance to the Empire State Building in Midtown. All a pipe-dream I know...
