You bring up some good points. I don't think its near as big a deal as some of the reaction I've read here and elsewhere.
A shuttle from the new terminal to the RAC would work just as well the rental car shuttles did before. And the fact that Marta is located on the other end of the airport is a matter of distance, not design.
