I have always wondered about this, especially as someone in the Travel industry.
Houston is larger and wealthier than Atlanta, yet we have three W's, two Ritz-Carlton's, Four Seasons, Le Meridien, St. Regis, J.W. Marriott, Mandarin Oriental, the flagship U.S. Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt, etc.
I know you have a Four Seasons, and are getting a J.W.
The only reason I can imagine is the difference in the size of the convention & meetings industries between the two?
