在中国的历史上，开封曾被称为大梁、汴梁、东京、汴京等。自建城至今已有2700多年的历史。战国时期的魏国，五代时期的后梁、后晋、后汉、后周以及北宋和金七个王朝曾先后建国都于开封，故称“七朝古都”。
