Colorado Rockies set to become Boise Hawks' new parent club

The Boise Hawks will have a new parent club next season — the Colorado Rockies.
An official announcement is expected Friday. A source close to the situation confirmed the Player Development Contract agreement Thursday night. The length of the agreement was not known....The Cubs had been seeking more modern facilities than the 25-year-old Memorial Stadium had been able to provide, and Eugene plays at the University of Oregon's PK Park, which opened in 2010.
Colorado has added two other new affiliates this week — Albuquerque (Triple A) and New Britain (Double A).
