It really is, I grew up in northern California and when we came here Austins downtown was neck n neck with Sacramento. At that time both cities had lots of towers planned during the boom. Seems like most of Sacramentos got cancelled and all of Austins got built. It's fueled by tech and Univ of Texas and their huge alumni base.
