Mendel Prepares for the End and A New Beginning

Next year, it'll be the end of an era for Saskatoon art and culture as the city's main art gallery closes its doors.

After an eventful 50th anniversary in 2014, plans are to finish the final exhibition at the Mendel Art Gallery on June 7th, 2015, as they start their move to the Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan.

Executive Director Gregory Burke says construction crews recently placed glass walls in the future home of Remai Modern, and says if all goes well it could open by mid to late May 2016.
