I wouldn't turn down a place in this building (or a building like One Beacon Court), but you wouldn't see me actually spend money to live in Midtown.

These would make great corporate apartments or pieds-a-terre for someone who doesn't live in NYC permanently but who does a lot of business here. As a primary residence? Not the best neighborhood.

Well yeah if you can find a rent-controlled / rent-stabilized place or get some kind of crazy landlord incentives. I wouldn't expect to find something like that, though.
