Developers have now filed applications with the Department of City Planning to rezone the two-block assemblage for a multi-building project, called Ebenezer Plaza, with a total 512 apartments, an increase of 31 units. All of the units would rent at below-market rates.
One block would feature 306 apartments spread across nine- and 11-story structures, together measuring 282,000 square feet. The second block would feature 206 apartments spread across seven- and 11-story structures, measuring 185,000 square feet, The Real Deal reported. The apartments would range from studios to three-bedrooms. The Church of God of East Flatbush will occupy 35,000 square feet of the larger building. There will also be 30,000 square feet of retail.
Brisa Builders, Procida Companies, and the Church of God of East Flatbush are the developers. Perkins Eastman is designing the project. The project will have to be approved through the city’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP).
