Floating the Boise river is one of the most popular summer activities, but those concerned the Broadway Bridge construction will cause some ripples can rest somewhat easy.

Idaho Transportation Department Broadway Bridge Construction Project Manager Merrill Sharp said the river is open for floating during the summer months.

Although Sharp said construction will not prevent people from floating the river, the banks of the river near the construction site will not be open for floaters to leave the river.
