I suppose I've been lurking for a while so I'm not entirely new. I was born in Vancouver, lived in Hong Kong for half a decade as a kid, went back to Vancouver, and have since expatriated to Toronto for university/work.
I think my interest in architecture and built form was actually sparked by Toronto...I feel that as a whole Vancouverites seem to care less about its buildings and more about the surrounding nature. I still feel a strong attachment to Vancouver despite loving life in the big city as well.
Oh I guess this is sort of a gripe, but I feel that this forum feels so dead! I mean there has not been a development update on the downtown page since Dec. 19th, and its the 22nd now. Maybe I am just spoiled by the pace of updates on
