Not a skyline shot exactly, but I was walking south on Barrington last night and noticed how the glass above Espace adds a very cool splash-of-light effect above the street level and on the neighbouring buildings (photo doesn't quite do justice.) It creates a nice contemporary touch amid the historic facades, visible from a block or so away in each direction. Very urban feeling.
It's funny how the city's smaller developments are in some ways the ones that I keep noticing and being impressed by, at least as much as the larger ones. I think the same thing every time I go by Keith Hall. Just fixing that one building has improved the streetscape immeasurably.
