London Borough of ‘Heathrow’
This is technically a vision considering it anticipates the creation of the Thames Estuary Hub which is still up in the air and dependent upon the results of a commission, planning and funding, but the project aims to redevelop the massive west London site into a
150,000 home development with capacity for 200,000 new jobs; essentially a mini city. Heathrow’s two runways would be turned into lakes, whilst a terminal would be retained to provide check-in for the Thames Estuary Hub to the east of London.
