Canada could host if FIFA didn't care about games being played at McMahon (for instance), a ridiculous amount of teams playing in each stadium, or the Final being played in a stadium that seats 61,000. But that's not going to work.

The last three World Cups used twelve, ten, and twelve stadiums respectfully. That's with a 32-team tournament, not a 48-team like 2026. Canada has nine potential stadiums: four that are big enough currently and five that could be expanded to host the games (excluding Rogers Place, because it is baseball-only now). If we use that few stadiums, that means more teams in each city, which means we need accommodations... something cities like Regina and Winnipeg wouldn't have enough of.

We probably could have done the 32-team tournament, as long as we built new stadiums in Calgaryand Halifax, and renovated Olympic for the Final. But 48 is too much.
