Perhaps, but to the average person, meaning someone who isn't on SSP, the Canadian side is tourist-friendly, and pretty. The American side, meanwhile, is a Rust Belt industrial wasteland. These are generalizations, of course, but if people think that, then you have to adapt instead of just complain.

Moreover, many tourists from on buses from Toronto, so there's no reason to leave Canada then. Or, Americans go to the Canadian side because seeing the falls from another country is more exotic (on top of the preconceived notions of the Canadian side).
