I was in Mexico City the summer of 1972, and when I was there there were city busses everywhere, and I mean everywhere....We noticed that at any given major street intersection we could could see at least 4 of 5 busses at the same time.....Now with the subway lines much bigger than they were in 1972, maybe they do not have as many busses as they had then, not sure. I would imagine that in downtown LA at any given time one would not always see 4 of 5 or more busses like I saw in Mexico City in 1972.
