I was hoping to make a thread of the road trip through the countryside all the way to Agrigento, but I didn't get that many shots. Quite honestly, the drive was just too much damn fun to stop (along with meeting cousins in a couple of different villages). After driving out of my great-grandparents' ancestral village, though, I stopped the car on top of a nearby hill. The beauty of the landscape in this area was just too gorgeous to
not sit back and enjoy.
