another very interesting savannah observation i had was its not just tourist oriented. along with the tourist industry obviously from the pics you can see the large seaport operations nearby and that must be a major employer. not so obviously, unless you walk around town quite a bit, is the influence of scad, the art school. it has a huge presence, they own a lot of buildings. so savannah has quite an organic arty vibe as well. i think you can see that in the night photo of the auto dealer, scad art students got ahold of that business, which is awesome.
