Proposed for a site just west of Public Square, this tower was designed by KPF for Cleveland-based Ameritrust Bank. The project was approved and two existing mid-rise buildings were demolished to clear the site, but Ameritrust Bank was acquired by Society Bank (now KeyBank) during the early stages of the project and the tower was cancelled. The site remains a parking lot, but rumors are circulating that the owner is planning an office tower - whether it gets built or not remains to be seen.
