Plus---apropos of balance--we have the two (IIRC) Broad St. towers that will make the venerable 20 Exchange seem less isolated from certain angles...and one of which (IIRC also) is on a parcel without height restrictions.
Whatever shakes out, the bolstering of Downtown's fringes and its steady encroachment northward will be fun to watch as much as MidTown's Two-Soon-to-be-Three White Hot Spots (57th, HY and environs, M-East/Grand Central/1 Vandy).

Those towers aren't big enough. Even 80 South St at its 1,000 ft or so won't really challenge the WTC. I'm talking about a tower that could hold its own, and balance the Downtown skyline the way the Freedom Tower does.
