Some archival photos from around Nova Scotia (gallery is here):

Halifax looking east near Barrington and George circa 1940

Dennis Building

Old apartment and industrial buildings near the ferry terminal, 1950's

Looking across the south grounds of Province House

The description said this building, torn down when all of Buckingham Street was destroyed for Scotia Square around 1960, was built in 1818. Some of the detailing looks much later though.

Hollis Street. The two buildings on the right are still there but the rest were torn down for the Royal Bank office tower around 1960. The building on the left corner was the head office of the Royal Bank from around 1870-1910.

Birney streetcars on Barrington Street. These buildings are mostly still there.

Granville Street, I would guess around 1900.
