Standing on the coast of Portugal Cove-St. Phillip's looking toward Bell Island and its town, Wabana. Two ferries cross back and forth all day, every day. It's a former mine town, now mostly commuters to St. John's.

The ferry dock in the Portugal Cove portion of Portugal Cove-St. Phillip's. A man died when his car rolled off it last week.

Back in St. John's proper. Downtown is way over to the left.

And what I believe is the city's only crane right now.

My favourite place to drive in the city. There's fuck all in there, all ya can do is go on out by where they bury the nuns or turn around and come back in out of it but I still love it.

The Supreme Court clocks.

Harvey Road (left) and Long's Hill (right). These peel-away intersections where one street continues at grade and the other curves off to the right and steeply downhill are everywhere in St. John's and they're one of my favourite aspects of the city's built form.

And a couple of familiar views, just because they're so darn pretty.
