Flew into Winnipeg from Calgary. There were some fair sized weather systems in the area so we flew right around the city to land and had a great view of most of a good part of the city. Unfortunately we weren't far enough south to see the university and the new stadium.

Looking down many of the streets there, the tress form a canopy and fill in the sky. That is Pembina Highway going from the lower left towards downtown. It is the main road to the US.

Starting to swing north. The area in the center right is called the Forks. It is where the city started and is where the Assiniboine and Red Rivers meet. the big blue circular building is the Museum of Human Rights which is nearing completion.
