It's not as common as you think. There was one 57 story building that I know of in China that was assembled on site in 19 days, which is 3 floors per day.

There was another proposal for about an even larger building that never got approval.
And there is the apartments near the Barclays Center that were prefabricated. But not many other examples, contractor are loathe to adopt new methods even if they're better.
