To me the problem lies solely with the location. I would not have a problem with this proposal if it was located somewhere outside of downtown. Not all development belongs in an urban core. Most political members would recognize that, however we all know that Katz does things out of his own interest, not out of those he serves.

And yes touting it as "Winnipeg's" Water Park makes it seem as though this is the big project we have all been waiting for. I am glad were are just below par in comparison to a city of 13 000 people.
