Saint John is such a beautiful, typically North American city. I wish it had become more regionally important. Not that I wish any harm to Moncton or Fredericton, especially the latter (because it's a whole different, greater level of beauty. One of Canada's most beautiful, easily).

And I still wish it gets more life breathed into it. It can't be easy - in a province with two other major cities and a region with one (relatively) very large city. There has to be some... leeching of the life in Saint John... going on.

I love how the brick is still red. In St. John's, we've painted over most of ours. There are only a few blocks with still-red brick.
