And this brings us to the last of the April 12 series -
Amalienborg Palace and the
Marble Church...
Both areas started construction in 1750's... Amalienborg at that time was ment to be the home of 4 wealthy merchant families, but after a fire at Christiansborg Castle ( now home of the Parliament as well as the royal throne-room) the Royal family desided to move there... tough luck merchants
Surrounding the nearby Marble Church is some of the most exclusive apartments in Copenhagen, I sure in heck wouldn't mind living there...
It's a place I hold very deer as I used to be part of the Royals Guards who protects the area - and have certainly spend my time there...
I also think that the Marble Church is by far the most beautiful chruch we have in the country...
So I can guarantee you this IS an area that will be revisted later in the thread...
