Did anyone know that the original 3 WTC had a different design before it was built?

Here's the original design for the hotel: https://archpaper.com/2009/01/wtc-model-to-nyc/
The picture from the first link is from the person "William Menking".

Here's another picture of the original design: http://www.archfoundation.org/2013/1...easures-grant/
The picture from the second link is from the website "American Architectural Foundation".

Here's what the original shape of the hotel was on the original World Trade Center complex map looked like before it was built: https://www.awesomestories.com/asset...ter-Complex//1

Now here's what the final design of the hotel looked like: http://911research.wtc7.net/wtc/evid.../wtc3pre1.html
The picture from the fourth link is from the website: "9-11 Research".

While I prefer the final design of the hotel to the old one, I wonder why they changed the shape of it. I'm talking about how the south end of the original hotel having a small L shape at the end of it. In the final design, they got rid of that for unknown reasons. I think having the L shape at the end of the hotel would've made it look better being between the Twin Towers.

Unfortunately that doesn't really matter anymore since the hotel and the Twin Towers got destroyed along side with the rest of the World Trade Center complex on September 11, 2001.
