Brantford is actually closer to the GTA than most realize, in a way I’m surprised we haven’t seen a push for GO train service. It would be about a 1.5 hour train ride, which is shorter than trains from Barrie and Kitchener.

I think it’s problem is that it’s sort of like Peterborough in that it’s not that far but it’s not a high growth area or on the way to cottage country like Kitchener and Barrie are, which puts those cities higher in peoples consciousness.
