New Hotel Proposed for Linc and Upper James (1187-1201 Upper James Street)

Upper James at the Linc will soon have a new four-storey hotel if Councillors agree with the staff recommendation to approve a proposed development to the southeast of the highway interchange.

The proposed development will see a four-storey hotel (which was proposed as a six-storey hotel in 2007), a new large commercial building (such as a restaurant), and one strip plaza.

Nearby properties were sent a notice of the development, none of the 72 properties submitted feedback.

From City of hamilton web site.

The subject application was originally submitted in November 2007, at which time a six (6) storey hotel and associated commercial uses were proposed. The application has since been revised and now constitutes a four (4) storey hotel located towards the rear of the site, and two new buildings, along with one existing building, to be built fronting onto Upper James Street.
