Those photos only show the modern side of Seoul. Historcally, Seoul has plenty of ancient architecture from an older era. The city predates NY all the way back to 18BC when it was established as the capital of Baekje. Seoul didn't have a modern highrise boom until the late 60's but there are plenty of older non highrise buildings and structures that did survive the war that have been around while the indians were hunting on Manhattan. In terms of skyscraper history and diversity, then yes, NY has more in that regard but as an established city as a whole, no way. You might as well compare NY to Bejing or Rome. Seoul is very old. Most old cities have modern highrises today. The city's culture and architecture dates back to another period in history. Of course, they're in a different league.
