Vancouver Autumn: costumes, hula hoops & city lights

Hi all, just thought I'd make a thread of some of the random collection of photos I've taken around Vancouver over the last couple weeks. Most of the daytime ones are from the same day and the night ones were taken over 4 different evenings. They're all in random order.

Not too sure what this thing was

A really beautiful set of pictures.

Next time, could you try venturing further out of downtown?

How far out do you have in mind? I did at least make it as far as King Edward & Cambie and Lonsdale Quay this time around. Not that far, I know. I also have some suburb pictures I haven't yet posted. If that might be of interest I could make a thread of those... ?

Yeah, I'd love to see some suburban pictures...or maybe some neighbourhoods out of downtown such as Kerrisdale, South Granville, Kingsway, Fraser & 49th. This is in no way meant to order you around or anything, I'm just making some suggestions. By the way my earlier comment wasn't meant to imply that your downtown shots weren't interesting, as someone else seemed to have taken it to mean.

I have done a South Granville thread in the past though the other areas you've mentioned I definitely need to work on in terms of my photo collection. If the weather wasn't so crappy as of late I'd be all over it. Thanks for the suggestions.

And no worries, I didn't take anything you said negatively.

Looking good. I like how you caught all the pretty architecture of the city. There seems to be a lot of neat little plazas and parks with neat landscaping and funky art...something I've not noticed too much regarding Van. Nice to see, as it's one of the elements to an amazing (modern) city, for me.

Why? The photos look fine. I hate it when people tell photographers what to photograph/what they should photograph (at least in this manner quoted...). If you want to showcase other areas, go out and take some pictures your self .
