Wheeling, West Virginia: Through Glowrock's new DSLR! :)

So I decided to take a little drive out to Wheeling, WV today and really get a good idea of the capabilities of my new DSLR. I thought the photos turned out great, let me know what you think!

Mods, please remove one of these two threads. SSP had a hiccup and I thought the first one didn't work properly!

These photographs are brilliant. Makes me want a new camera. Wheeling makes a fascinating subject. Every time I go through Wheeling, it captures my imagination.

Yeah, Wheeling made a very interesting subject. Extremely urban, extremely gritty, all Rust Belt. Plus the historic suspension bridge built by Roebling, the oldest currently used vehicular suspension bridge in the U.S... That bridge is simply a thing of beauty!

That bridge is also the scariest thing I have ever driven over. My knuckles turn white whenever I head down to Wheeling Island and have to cross that thing. Great tour, man.

You know that you can get to Wheeling Island off of I-70 and not that ancient bridge, right?

But yeah, that bridge looks very scary to cross. There's a reason why only a few cars at a time widely spaced apart are allowed over it at any given time!

Wonderful photos of my favorite "Pittsburgh satellite city". If Wheeling was located an hour outside DC... it would be booming and ultra-gentrified.

Wheeling is impressive, plenty of beauties (structures) in it. Quite the classic.

Iv only heard of Wheeling, but damn!. This city has some nice buildings and the quality of your DSRL only makes the thread better. What camera did you end up getting?

Thank you very much for sharing these beautiful pictures, glowrock!

I´ve liked very much that old suspension bridge. It´s magnific.

Wheeling, WV looks like a quiet town, surrounded by nature.

Your pictures look very sharp and colourful. Great job!

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Wonderful tour Aaron. Looks like the new gear fits you well. I love Wheeling, such and urban, gritty gem tucked away in the river valley. Thanks for the pics.

Come down to visit Pittsburgh for a few days, I'll take you out to Wheeling for a few hours... Sound good?

Very interesting town for a photo shoot. Despite it's rundown appearance it was remarkably free of trash and litter, even in the alleys.

Wow, Wheeling has some of the most amazing architecture around, its a shame the town is loosing population and doesnt seem to have much hope for gaining it back. Great photos too man.

Yes, Austin. New camera. Nikon D5100, in fact. Figured Wheeling was a nice little place to test everything out! And it seems like I did a pretty good job with my first go around based on everyone's comments so far!

If only the sun would have cooperated, I'm sure I could have done better. Gray, overcast skies aren't the best light for photos, no doubt...
