It's been a while since my last photothread proper on here, so these are a little out of date, from last spring/summer to be exact. Not a lot of commentary, mostly just pics.
Enjoy!
The next bunch of pics are from the dragon boat festival that was held last summer:
Aaaaaaand moving on, this is Burnaby's Metrotown skyline:
The remaining pictures were taken on a hike at Lynn Headwaters Park, which is in the North Shore Mountains in North Vancouver, about a half hour drive from my house in east Vancouver. lots of great hiking trails up yonder:

I love that you took a photo of the old Chinese artisans repainting the gate in front of the Cathay Retirement Villa in Strathcona. I rode by that every day for weeks and kept meaning to take a photo, which I never did. That photo brought a smile to my face tonight.

Alcatraz brought me here. Good photos of Vancouver.

Great photos of a beautiful city!..such an amazing blend of urbanity and nature
BTW.. how do Seattle and Vancouver compare? I've always been curious regarding the similarities and differences between those 2 cities. They seem as though they would be sister cities in a sort of way.
nice set as usual. the lynn headwaters ones are really nice, i've never heard of that place before.
thank you thank you. There's a ton of great hiking trails around Vancouver, that just happened to be one of the easier trails...but it did not disappoint!

Thanks! The climates are pretty similar but I haven't really spent a lot of time in Seattle to compare, maybe someone else can take that task on.
Later this month when my passport arrives, I plan on taking a little weekend trip there to do some exploring.

You're welcome. Yes, the TV show. Being from the SF Bay Area, it's a little disappointing that Vancouver and the surrounding area stands in for the region. Yet, Vancouver itself looks like a nice place.
