i've been to san antonio many times over the last 30+ years. downtown is very nice with the riverwalk, the alamo, market square and i believe the hemisfair plaza is undergoing a major renovation.

even though san antonio is much larger than boise, it has the same friendly feel to it--though with larger buildings, of course. definitely worth a visit if you've never been there.
