I had friends tour a unit at the rental tower earlier this year and they were told by the rental agent that it was likely Cactus Club taking that location. Not sure how much truth there is to that.

The new Pho place should be open now, right? Any ETA on the Chipotle? Or the Kinton Ramen?

Google Maps said June for Chipotle a few months ago. And this food blog says Kinto will open in a few weeks.

The Pho place opened yesterday. I saw inside the Chipotle recently when some workers went in and it still looks there's a lot of work that needs to be done.

Cactus Club will be good there, the only one I know of for Surrey is on the Delta side of Scott Road.

That Pho place has Google reviews going back many months... any idea if they moved locations? I am thinking they were located elsewhere before.

It's a chain so you may be seeing reviews for another location. Not too sure.

not necessarily the hub but they have put in new traffic lights and a new crosswalk by the station there to the park mid-block and the fence is now gone and people won't have to jaywalk there anymore.

So will the rumored Cactus Club go in the part that is under construction now or is there still space in whats done for it?

It would be in the current green space between the Coast Capital building and office building I believe. All early renderings showed a stand-alone restaurant there.

It's the fifth phase of King George Hub:

Light coloured end cladding with slot window on the new tower matches the rendering.

Very nice photos, captures the scale of everything there.

I like the development a lot. Was there yesterday afternoon and the food options there are fairly decent. Reux Cafe and Bar, Pho 68, Kinton Ramen, Sushi Street and Rice and Noodle are fairly good. The Save On Foods is now more central. TD is going to eventually shutdown their branch at 104th Avenue and KGB, and has branched out to Gateway Stn and King George Stn. My only gripe is that chains like Subway, Tim Hortons, The Chopped Leaf and Pita Pit continue to exist. Disgusting trash food but I guess there's a market for it in this region.

Really hope the City and developers take a page from the Amazing Brentwood and go with that idea for Surrey Central. The mall is too uninspiring, boring and small and really lacks many retailers and amenities. I know Guildford is 10 minutes away but I suspect a denser core population in "Central Surrey" may necessitate another shopping hub in the near future.

FYI for those interested
Kinton Ramen fianlly opened up today. I believe it's taken them eight months to open from their planned date.

Minh Sandwiches, a Banh mi shop has been open for a few weeks. They don't have signage on their CRU. It's located next to Sushi Street.

It’s a good development, always busy as mentioned. Wish the restaurants had patios though
