Realistically how long until Arva is gobbled up by London?

Parasitic bedroom communities suck.

Arva(Middlesex Centre) and the City have recently been negotiating extending the current utility service contract to increase capacity. It's just a matter of time before we see a new subdivision proposal along Medway Rd that will butt up against the City northern limit. Also will we see a request to extend the LTC Richmond bus route up to do a loop by Medway High School?

Eventually some conversations will need to happen between the City, County and the Province as the pressures build.

Annexing Arva would be logical, but with London being solid NDP and the rural provincial ridings surrounding being PC don't see it happening anytime soon. Perhaps Regional government would make sense, but if that were to be the case and be meaningful need to include Elgin & St Thomas too.

On the other hand, it's not like London has been solid orange for a long time, especially north London. Perhaps the PC government might look at bringing some blue voters into the city and a corresponding redrawing of the electoral boundaries as a good thing. Especially if London North Centre maybe lost some of the Centre for more of the North. It was a pretty solid blue riding as London North and only went red and then orange when London Centre was merged into it.

Compensation review again for City council. They really need to switch to a smaller council (ie: 8 + Mayor) with larger Wards and make it a full time job like in other large cities in Canada. It is not a Part Time job and to pretend it is makes no sense. When the population reaches 500,000 or 600,000 threshold then expand 10 wards.

Unions comment on review.

very assholish of Arva, a parasitic community on London's fringe that provides little in return (now that the park is inaccessible).

The parking prices at these places (see also Komoka Provincial Park) are just f*cking ridiculous. Two bucks for two hours? No problemo.

$5 bucks per hour? $20 per day, in the middle of nowhere? Are you kidding me?

Josh Morgan and his wife announced their separation today. They actually separated last summer but kept it a private matter until today.

Personally believe it makes sense to include these bedroom communities into London proper as they depend on London for basic services otherwise they can't function. With southern Ontario provincial ridings mirror federal riding boundaries doubtful that will change. Federal boundary review had a proposed revision that would've seen "London South-St Thomas" to get the south end and rural areas between St Thomas and St Thomas itself and "London Northeast" with would have the north end as well as Thorndale and areas around there. Unfortunately people don't like change and squawked so we have fairly similar ridings for the next election.

Hope this doesn't lead to a mayor scandal. We still got nothing on Rob Ford, but boy is London consistent.

2 mayors in a row to get divorced while in office. Not a good record.

First we had the Witch Queen of Angmar and Tim "Best" (DUI, among other things).
Then we had Shoeless Joe Fraudtana.
Then Mattress Brown.
And now, by Gosh Josh, Morgan.

Sorry to hear about Josh's marriage crumbling. Marriage is very hard, and it must be even more so when one spouse is in a high profile occupation.

Yeah, he kinda got overshadowed by the pandemic and wasn't controversial, so maybe he was a little forgettable from that perspective lol.

yes, I momentarily forgot about Ed Holder too. A low-key mayor is not necessarily a bad thing. Certainly better than the awful Witch Queen of Angmar (and her witless husband, Tim DUI Worst) and her successor, Shoeless Joe Fraudtana.

Greenway Pollution Plant will see the incinerator go offline for 6 months to be replaced. Sadly this will only buy 15 more years before we run out of capacity. There was some talk about a new sewage treatment facility to be located in the SW but that has been quiet now for a while.

The mental midgets at city hall have come up with another idea to display their epic failure in common sense.
