The Toronto Parks department is the worst run municipal agency I can think of in the GTA. It’s right up there with Hamilton’s Roads department - just comically incompetent and underfunded.

Two new ones this morning - the swamp thing, and the chickadee.

^^^ The Chickadee is probably okay but don't let the Swamp Thing or the Dark Eyed Junkie anywhere near your axe.

Chicakdees are so cute and such a pretty bird call. Plus there's so many parks where they've evolved to feed from your hands.

I would like to get hummingbirds to do it. In Jamaica there are places you can go for that. I've tried it here with the nectar feeder to get them close. Then I've dressed in bright red and held a homemade mini feeder, but just couldn't get them to land on my finger that I was sticking out.

There is a park in Whitby where blue jays will feed from you. But they won't sit. They'll just land, grab the peanut and immediately book it out of there.

No luck here getting the chickadees to not be afraid of me. Only the grey jays, but I've never seen one in the city before.

Currently cloudy and 13 at just before 10am. Rare day where I'm actually far enough inland where the onshore flow isn't dropping temperatures at my place, even though winds are out of the northeast. Downtown is spared too, but the airport and private stations along the coast in the east end of the city and in Torbay are hovering around 7-9 degrees.

Temperatures could drop here later too, but I'm holding out some hope.

12C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 9 AM, with an expected high today of 22C

We reached 25C yesterday.

There is no rain in the seven day extended forecast. Things are starting to dry out here.

Lots of sun. Lots of cloud. Mild, warm at times, with a cool breeze ebbing and flowing lol. But of everything really.

Last Saturday was cool and rainy, since then the weather has been beautiful. Low to mid 20s and sunny and it looks like this will continue through the end of May, with a few upper 20s next week.

24C with a humidex of 26 and mainly sunny. It was another overcast start of the day but at least it cleared earlier this time. YUL skyrocketed to 25.6C in between hours so this is the first 25C day of the year.

Low of 13C this morning.

The warmspot was St Stephen, NB at 26.5C

Warmest low was Kelowna, BC at 16.1C.

It's that time of the year when Montreal is noticeably warmer than Toronto

Warm and dry with a light overcast sky in the morning and then a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon.

Thursday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 19 C, the low was 12 C.

Is it really though? Their averages for this time of year are practically the same, Montreal with a slight edge, nothing noticeable.

It was absolutely pouring out in Sturgeon County (outside of Edmonton) yesterday. I'm visiting my sister, and we went out to a animal rescue farm that she volunteers at. The animals were soaked.

Very nice to see so much rain fall where it needs it the most.
