I always enjoy your photos. Tel Aviv looks like a beautifully positioned city. I hope I find myself there one day, especially if (big if) the violence calms down in that corner of the world.

The last time I remember you posting here you declared a leave of absence because you were entering military service. (Or was that another Israeli forumer?) If so, how is that going?

Yeah, i am quite in the Army right now, but in a country where everyone goes to the army (or at least supposed to go) its not as a rough thing like in most countries i beilieve, in the IDF you got "Combat" soldiers and "Job" soldiers, the combat one goes through all the rough training and serve in dangerous positions, mostly in the west bank, gaza border and the north border, "job" guys don't go through any rough trainings and stuff and many times serve not far from home and the army is like kind of a day-job for them.

That's just to clear up about the IDF , i mean, right, everyone goes to the army, but that's not like the red army or the marines or anything, you just do a service for your country for a time..

and about your "big if" well, i think you'll find statistically Israel is not less safe than the states, terrorism and violence has quite diminished past couple of years, even in the territories, (though it is quite a disputish area..) and we also got much less offensive crime here.
