Thanks gio, yeah the visitor center kind of surprised me too. You'd best be gettin' back to the Eastern Shore for a visit (maybe take your lady down and find a nice B & B for a weekend gettaway.)

The visitor center opened up maybe 5 years ago. Cambridge is undergoing some big changes. They opened up that Hyatt Golf Resort, Spa, and Marina a couple of years ago and I've read that it's doing amazing.

There have also been numerous stories in the papers about thousands of new homes being planned. Cambridge is in a beautiful setting and has a lot of potential.

I could see the changes while I was there. Quite a few new condos going up around the harbor. Plenty of activity at the boat launch and docks (some big rascals too). Downtown had several stores I wouldn't have expected in a working class place. Some building renovations going on also. I could see it stepping up in the world, but I think Easton impressed me more. At least at this point.

Side-mounted traffic signals...something you don't see too often in the mid-Atlantic states...

Never got up to Cambridge much, let alone Easton. Tended to stick with Pocomoke-Snow Hill-Berlin, mainly because it was on the way north from Virginia Beach...

I've been craving an Ex-Ithacan smalltown photo thread, thanks for delivering and satisfying. Now on to desert (aka part 2).

Thanks Ex-Ith. Sadly, it will be a while. Probably March at the earliest.
