A few quick shots of Sacramento's I & J streets

So I went up to my parents house for the Presidents Day weekend, went skiing in Tahoe that Saturday, had a little meet downtown later that night, then had to leave around noon on Monday. I did set a little time aside for some pictures, I only wish I had more time to take pictures, but that's just how it goes some times.

There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and there was a blustery north wind coming right down the valley. Not very many people about, but then again it was a holiday and I was in downtown, not midtown.

You can see this thing everywhere!

And a little something everyone should like.

Thanks for stoppin' by. Comments appreciated.

Yeah fox; it was Monday, the 19th.

Plinko; they didn't wash the windows, lazy bastards. I had to photoshop all the spots out.

Nice job, Itsmotorsport. I especially like the third photo from the end, of the Elks and office building (is it still called the US Bank building?) on the diagonal. Before that pic I'd never noticed all the similarities between those two buildings.

Yep, it's still US Bank. So I guess we'll have two...

I absolutely love this building. One thing working to Sacramento advantage right now, is the fact that it has a number of beautfiul historic buildings.
There's no better time to have a building boom than right now, in order to add to the character of the skyline with new and complimentary designs...

Such a crystal clear day, with the coast range looking so crisp off to the west. I imagine the Sierra were stunning???

One more thing Mike, did your walking tour include any watering hole stops???

With so much talk about San Francisco and Sprawl Angeles, you rarely get to hear much about California's other cities. Good stuff

Some Midwest flavor on the West Coast. Love it! Got to get some old town pics in there too!
